Say Y.E.S. to Eel River Bar approved!
We are pleased to announce that "Say Y.E.S. to Eel River Bar: Youth Environmental Stewards Program" has been approved for the youth of Eel River Bar.
GMRC will deliver a three-week summer program encouraging youth stewards to protect the environment.
Participants will:
- Learn how to conduct online environmental research
- Learn how to identify and document local plants and trees
- Plant trees, shrubs, and plants to protect and restore habitats
- Take photographs and video of the local environment
- Work with and learn from community elders
- And more
GMRC staff will available for more information at the Eel River Bar band office, next week, on Wednesday, August 17 at 1:30 pm.
